Dancin' Daisy

One morning Dr. Stalk hurried into the Lab.  "I need to conduct an experiment," he said to Electra.  "Last night I went to a performance of the Nutcracker Ballet.  The Waltz of the Flowers was so beautiful that I captured some of the score.  I intend to mix the magic of the music with the power of a flower."  He pulled a stoppered test tube out of his pocket, uncorked it, and poured miniscule musical notes into a potion marked chrysanthemum leucanthemum.  "What results, my friend, should be a morphadoodle that blossoms into a glorious specimen."

Within days, a daisy bloomed like no other.  When it rained she did not hide her face, but danced to the beat of the drops that fell.  When day broke she did not simply raise her head, but turned pirouettes until she faced the sun.  She was so beautiful that artists wanted to paint her.  The problem was that she could not stop dancing long enough to hold a pose.  She was almost a flower in Van Gogh's Daisies and Anemones, but she kept leaping out of the cornflower blue vase.
