Owen

Have you ever been quietly watching your favorite show on TV when the picture suddenly disappears and the sound is replaced by an annoying buzz? If so, you have probably had a visit from Owen. The energy from his curly antennae creates electrical interference, or as Owen sees it, the dastardly television is interfering with his ability to read your mind. In any case, turn off the TV and carefully examine your surroundings. You may notice a small green blur from the corner of your eye. That would be Owen. Why is he so blurry, you ask? Owen is a gymnast at heart, but sadly, his arms and legs are too short to turn a cartwheel. He has, however, mastered the art of the somersault- both forwards and backwards- and this is his preferred mode of transportation. If you happen to feel a tiny pinch on your arm like the bite of a pesky mosquito, you can be sure that Owen is there in your living room. He doesn't mean to bite you; he just can't help himself. Think of it as a sign of his affection. If you want to get him to stop his tumbling so that you can get a good look at him, put a freshly made empanada on a plate. He will not be able to resist his favorite snack, and you will have made a friend for life.
