Dear Dr. Stalk and Professor Electra,

If I could be a fairy

I'd fly from here to there

and paint the wonders that I saw

on earth or in the air.

I'd kick a soccer ball on Venus

turn cartwheels across Mars

watch the strawberry cow

jump over the moon

dance ballet on Orion's stars.

If I could be a fairy

I'd eat with the tiniest munches

I'd wave my wand when hunger struck

and POOF! my favorite lunches:

Tomato soup with noodles

that I'd sip from a buttercup bowl

fish sticks sliced as thin as reeds

chicken baked on a crystal of coal.

If I could be a fairy

mean dogs and hags would be done

loud people would learn to whisper

my days would be peaceful and fun.

And if, kind morphadoodles,

you grant me this fairy's boon

I will fly with my wings of lavender

and dance on the face of the moon.
