Heartalina

It was one minute before midnight on February 13, and the Lab was abuzz with anticipation.  Professor Electra was due to return from his expedition to Australia where he had gone in search of the highly-classified kangaroo jumping formula, the final ingredient for the Laborastory's latest experiment.  Dr. Stalk, usually the picture of calm sophistication, could hardly keep still.  Every time he heard a snap or a crack, he would rush to the window and quickly scan the darkness, moving his large EYE from right to left like a full moon rising at warp speed.  "Time waits for no morphadoodle," he spluttered to Horatio.  "He must be here by the stroke of twelve, or our heartfelt efforts will be lost."

"Take a deep, cleansing breath, Doctor," suggested the fowl. "There must be something you can doodle-do before he arrives."

Stalk inhaled and exhaled.  "Yes.  Thank you, my friend," he said regaining his composure, "I will review the contents of the test tube."  He began to read from the data sheet: "One whisker and biscuit for the love of dogs, check; one tablespoon of honey for a sweet disposition, check; one mini elbow pasta for the love of macaroni and cheese, check; one Little Miss Muffet poem to steer clear of spiders, check; one anti-strawberry sprout to avoid allergic hives, check."  With that, the door burst open and Electra hustled in waving the world's tiniest didgeridoo

"The secret formula is in here!  Have I made it back in time?  Five eyes looked at the clock- five seconds to spare.  Dr. Stalk stirred the instrument into the tube...4 seconds...3...2...1...POP!  Out sprang Heartalina with a boomerang in one hand and a jump rope in the other.  "G'day mates!  I'm off to toss hearts into the world and then jump for joy.  And, by the way, Happy Valentine's Day from down under!"
