What is a Morphadoodle? 

It's a noun.  To be more specific, a morphadoodle is a 15" one-of-a-kind, hand sewn original character made from a variety of high quality fabrics (including but not limited to fleece, woolen felt, and faux fur) that is created when a child's artwork and ideas are combined with the imagination and experimentation of Laborastory's esteemed scientists, Dr. I.M.A. Stalk and Professor Electra.  (See figure 1) The resulting designer toy (morphadoodle) and its story will be as unique as the child who created it.

The Morphing Process:

After purchasing a Morphadoodle Kit from Laborastory's online shop, Dr. Stalk will send a top secret file containing a letter introducing the Lab, an invitation to design a morphadoodle, doodle and data forms, and instructions. (See figure 2)

 

 

Once you mail your completed forms back to the Laborastory, the magic will begin. (See figure 3 below for samples of completed forms)

Approximately a week after receiving your packet, we will send you a Lab Report, so you can see just how far your doodle has already morphed. (See figure 4)

Four to six weeks later, a special package will arrive at your doorstep.

What's in the box?

  • the morphadoodle (of course!!)

And depending on which morphadoodle package you ordered, you may receive the following:

  • an original story based on the doodle data that you previously submitted posted in Meet the Morphadoodles
  • a set of 10 trading cards featuring your morphadoodle and its doodle data to share with family and friends (see figure 5 below)

  • a web address so you can view your morphadoodle and read its story online when it is posted in The Morphadoodle Chronicles along with the Laborastory's growing cast of characters (See Deedle Dum's page here)
  • a journal entry in Electra's Eye-popping Trivia Collection (ETC) that is connected to an element of your character's story (See Deedle Dum's ETC entry here)
  • AND... since the morphadoodles love a good story, you will find some hand-picked titles for your particular character's reading pleasure in the Lab's Leaf-Through Library
